NSW Energy Savings Scheme

Energy Savings Certificates (ESCs): Unlocking Savings
At the heart of the NSW ESS are energy savings certificates (ESCs), which serve as powerful incentives for energy-efficient upgrades. Accredited Certificate Providers (ACPs) generate these certificates, allowing homeowners and businesses to access significant discounts on government-approved energy systems.
The number of ESCs that can be generated depends on the net megawatt-hours attributed to activities contributing to energy savings. These certificates serve as tangible proof of energy savings achieved through environmentally responsible practices.
A Dynamic Exchange
Our Role in the ESS
At SolEarth Energy, we actively participate in the administration of the NSW Energy Savings Scheme and provide vital support for businesses engaging in the program. We facilitate the regulation of participating entities, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and principles.
The governance of the ESS is overseen by the NSW Department of Primary Industries and the Environment (DPIE), which formulates and maintains the legislation associated with the scheme’s operation.

															How We Can Assist You
We specialize in identifying and implementing sustainable solutions that are not only easy to adopt but also have a substantial positive impact.
Under the Energy Savings Scheme (ESS), we offer eligible businesses the supply and installation of energy-efficient lighting products. This includes CFL & LED Downlights, Track Lights, High-bays & T5 Troffers, T5 Adapters, Flood Lights, and Shop Lights. The scheme targets commercial spaces in New South Wales, helping businesses save significantly on their electricity bills each year.
The ESS is a strong advocate for businesses that are committed to adopting methods that lead to cost savings and substantial reductions in carbon emissions. Through the ESS, businesses receive financial incentives to make the transition to energy-efficient lighting.
Our recognized Energy Savings Activity (RESA) GHGR0102B/1 allows us to create Energy Saving Certificates by replacing existing energy-intensive lighting equipment with highly efficient alternatives in eligible NSW business spaces. The value of these ESCs can be applied to offset capital and installation costs, resulting in a remarkable 50% cost reduction. This opens up opportunities for outstanding return on investment (ROI) for businesses.
In an era when commercial enterprises are striving to operate efficiently and sustainably, programs like the ESS offer not only cost savings but also the chance to make responsible decisions with long-lasting positive impacts.
